In the late 1950s, free-spirited widow Florence Green decides to open a bookshop in the sleepy coastal town of Hardborough, and expose the conservative locals to the best and at times, controversial literature of the time.
But whilst some welcome the new literary horizons, others aren’t yet ready for this cultural awakening.
