Nobody and nothing in Leonard's life, is perfect. His wife has left him, and he has to deal with his feisty teenage daughter Dee Dee, and his aged, curmudgeonly father, Gus.
On the face of it, Leonard is a shy home-based statistician, but the other Leonard is a frustrated writer of romantic fiction - blocked by the likes of Harriet Copeland, a commissioning editor with strong opinions, especially on the subject of men as writers and in general. In order to get it published, Leonard successfully submits his novel to the 'Love Is All Around' publishing house, posing as 'Myrtle Banbury'!
But when Harriet wants to interview and photograph the imaginary Myrtle, Leonard has to dress up as his fictitious Aunt! The result is cross-dressing and crossed-wires in this warm-hearted, hilarious feel-good romantic comedy...
