Having originated as an interval performance during the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest. Riverdance has gone on to become a worldwide phenomenon. This 25th Anniversary production is a powerful and stirring reinvention of the show, celebrated the world over for its Grammy Award-winning music and the thrilling energy and passion of its Irish and international dance. See the close-ups, the amazingly fast feet, the expressions and emotions of the dancers and musicians, and the creative camera angles that show the work more intimately and revealingly than is possible for an audience sitting in the stalls.

The show is preceded by a brief documentary detailing the history of Riverdance and the interval features a behind the scenes look at this incredible show.

Nottingham Organ Society… Mark Spafford

Mark Spafford started playing for concerts in 2011 following numerous enquiries from people at the dances asking if he played for concerts as well. Since then, he has performed many times at clubs and societies as Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Ollerton, Blackpool, South Yorkshire, East Herts, York, Hull, Harrogate, Cheadle, Great Yarmouth, North Tyneside and Swineshead. His variety of music, style and arrangements have been well received by audiences with feedback comments of “you play with a lot of feeling”

He has always played Yamaha organs during his career before changing to keyboards to make life a lot easier for transportation, along with the fantastic sounds generated from the latest Yamaha equipment. Mark’s current instrument is the Yamaha Genos.
