There will be talks and short films from people living in the borough, as well as expert speakers, then a free sustainable lunch and a screening of the feature documentary film 2040.

10.30 – 10.40am – Speaker 1: Welcome and introduction to the day, Councillor Viv McCrossen, Portfolio Holder for Climate Change and Natural Habitat
10.40 – 11am – Speaker 2: Owner of electric cars, Nottinghamshire County Council and Councillor Viv McCrossen: Electric cars –a resident who has transitioned from fossil fuel car to electric, The LEVI Project, Active travel at Redhill Leisure Centre and Arnot Hill Park
11 – 11.20am – Speaker 3: Adrian Prestidge, Nottinghamshire County Council and Keepmoat: An energy efficient home in Gedling, Warm Homes Grant/Eco 4, Gedling Green; new homes fit for the future (TBC)
11.20 – 11.35am – Speaker 4: Representative from local businesses; Blue Stamp Travel and Wheldon’s Garage
The venue is easily accessible by bus and we encourage sustainable travel where possible i.e. walking or cycling. Cycle parking is available outside Bonington Theatre and an electric vehicle charging point in the car park. If driving, we encourage car sharing.
There will be a photographer/videographer at the event. Content from the day will be shared on the digital marketing channels (social media, website, etc.). If you wish to not be included in videos/photos, please notify a member of the event team on the day.
